Footer
The site footer is a section of links that appears at the bottom of each page on your website.
You should add a site footer to your website.
All Drupal sites hosted by UIS also have a global footer, which links to important content on the main University websites. The global footer cannot be edited. Your site footer appears above the global footer.
Site footers are made up of 'blocks'. Your footer has a contact block as standard. You can then add 1 to 2 link blocks.
Contact block
The contact block gives users quick access to your contact details.
Use the contact block to add:
- your address, if you have a physical location
- an email address
- a phone number
Link block
Use a link block to link to:
- your site's accessibility statement - learn more about accessibility statements on our IT Help and Support site
- other legal and compliance information, such as your privacy policy and cookie policy
- job vacancies
You can also add a block of links to your social media accounts.
You can see examples of a contact block, a link block, and a link block with social media links in the footer of this site.
Adding your footer
To add or edit a footer, follow the footer guidance on our IT Help and Support site.
